As the expectation from physical asset management in the electricity production sector has evolved from corporate resource management to
physical asset management performance management, it has been emphasized that it includes risk, incident and recovery management. With the
year's forest fires and flood disasters, it was stated that coordinated disaster management in physical asset management was also on the
agenda. Cyber security activities have become a dimension of physical asset management as a result of digitalisation, and the inclusion of
industrial IoT devices in planning has increased monitoring and analysis.

Cem Aşık works at Rengo Consultancy, where he established the Energy Business Unit, and provides various consultancy services to leading companies in the sector. He is still employed by Enerjisa Üretim as a CEO Consultant. He previously held the positions of General Manager at Sanko Enerji and Business Development Director at Sanko Holding. Cem Aşık, who has an IT background, has spent many years as a senior executive in information technology (IT) and telecommunications. He is the Chairman of the Electricity Producers Association (EÜD), a member of the Board of Directors of the Energy Trade Association (ETD) and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Platform Association (PETFORM), and a member of many NGOs, organisations, and institutions' energy committees and advisory boards. Cem Aşık attended Istanbul Erkek High School and Hacettepe University Computer Science Engineering before enrolling in the METU MBA programme. He is married with a daughter.
