To ensure the continuity of operation, it is critical to closely monitor and observe the damage status of the turbine blades, which are one of the most
important components of the power plant. The panel discussed the issues of photographing turbine blades with a telephoto lens and then processing the
images.Close inspection of turbine blades, which are located at extremely high altitudes due to their structure, presents logistical challenges such as
posture and crane installation. To overcome these challenges, images are first taken from specific distances with a telephoto lens using a technique
known as ground-based. Following that, drone shots are taken for details based on the images taken. Preliminary studies are presented on analysing
photographs obtained with these techniques using an image processing algorithm based on machine learning and the targeted benefits.
